The Second South Kildare Festival of Arts & Crafts kickes off next Sunday 29th November at 12 noon with

The Great Little Christmas Craft Fair of South Kildare in The Sportsman’s Inn, Timolin - Moone ( Just off the N9 – between Castledermot and Kilcullen)

It will be a Great Place to get that Special Gift for a special friend. Hand made Ceramics – Woodware – Gourmet Foods & Preserves – Flowers - Christmas Wreaths & Decorations – Jewellery – Framed and Unfrafed Art – Pewter – Silver - Christmas Gifts will all be on display and for sale at reasonable prices by the craftspeople who made them. The Sportsmans Inn is under new Management and a Full Sunday Lunch Menu by Chef A. M. Scully will be available ‘till 3.00. Families and group[s of friends can make this Sunday 29th. November a Great Day out - from 12 noon to 6.30 p.m. The first of the Christmas Season. The Door Collection will be donated to The Jack & Jill Foundation. The South Kildare Festival is supported by Kildare County Council and organised by Timolin & Moone Tidy Towns Committees to Fund Village Improvements in 2010

Interested in growing your own food?



Grow It Yourself Ireland (GIY) recently established a Kildare group that will hold its first meeting next Tuesday, 17th Nov at 6pm in Athy library.
GIY meetings are free and open to people interested in food growing at all levels, they meet monthly to talk, exchange tips, knowledge and skills.
Michael Kelly, founder of GIY will be the guest speaker at the first meeting.
