Christmas Walk

CHRISTMAS MOON WALK - MULLAGHCREELAN WOODS

FRIDAY DECEMBER 12TH - 8 p.m.

Athy Town Council Arts sub-committee will host a walk through Mullaghcreelan Woods, Kilkea, on Friday Dec 12th, to celebrate the Christmas season and the Winter full moon.

Carols will be led by Shane & Adrian Sullivan - Readings of Christmas poems and stories will take place at six points on the walk.

Tea/coffee and mince pies will be served in the car park afterwards.

The walk should take about an hour. Wear warm clothes, strong shoes and bring a torch or lantern and a walking stick if required.

However, this is not an arduous or long walk - more a ramble in the moonlight.

Meeting point - the car park of Mullaghcreelan Woods.

If the weather is particularly bad, the event wil take place in the Church of Ireland, Kilkea.

All welcome - admission free.

Special thanks to Athy Town Council, Brian O Gorman, Coillte, Rev Cliff Jeffers and the Church of Ireland community.
