A Rose for Larries

St Laurence’s are hosting a community evening for the 51st Rose of Tralee Charmain Kenny, on Friday the 16th of October to welcome her home to her birth place. Charmain was originally from Kilmead where she lived with her parents Leon & Marion before moving to Athy in 1998. She was baptized in Kilmead and went to Birdie Corrigan’s play school. Local rose buds will accompany Charmain to the new complex for 8 pm, these will be selected through an art competition in both schools in the parish, Crookstown and Kilmead. Everyone is welcome for an evening of fun and a light meal will be served.

On the following evening Saturday the 17th St. Laurence’s got talent takes place in the complex and an excellent evening’s entertainment is guaranteed. Doors open at 7.30pm. All welcome.
