Southern Road

After thirty years of division over our Inner Relief street, real relief seems to be en route. It could be up to three years before completion but work has already advanced in producing the route which will run from a roundabout on the Dublin Rd/Castledermot Rd junction, running behind the Rugby Club, crossing the Carlow Road at Athy Community College, following the disused Tegral rail track, crossing the Fortbarrington Rd before Dún Brinn and then joining the Kilkenny road.

I hope road crossing designed as well. Coneyboro, Branswood and Dunbrin might walk or cycle to schools and colledges
Ideally this should be bridges.

Also Richard, two events for your blog: St.Michael first time ever refused to new pupils and begining of works on Fortbarrington Road (is it a new estate?). Regarding to this development on Fortbarrington Road, what about new school?
