A unique exhibition of photographs by award winning photographer, Robert Redmond, depicting the alphabet of sign language was unveiled on october 16th in the Bay Tree restaurant, Athy.
26 photographs, using locals from the community, displays each letter of sign language. The idea for the exhibition was the brainchild of partially deaf, sign language teacher, Maggie Owens , who is campaigning to have the language recognised by the government as is the case in the U.K. and Northern Ireland.
