Child Protection Awareness Training for people working with children being run by the HSE in Athy Chruch of Ireland Centre in June.
This course is for volunteers and people who work with children. The course covers Government policy, types of abuse, dealing with disclosure, developing your child protection policy, accident procedures, training needs, code of behaviour, etc.
Course takes place on three Tuesday Evenigns from 6.30pm to 9.30pm on June, 9th, 16th and 23rd. A certificate is given to those who complete the course.

There are only 15 places, limitied to one ot two from each group to facilitate as many groups as possible. It is not expected that this course will be run again in the near future in Athy.
