If You live in a "Listed" building



Grants for the Conservation of Protected Structures 2010

Applications are now invited from owners/ occupiers of protected structures (formerly listed buildings) that are currently included in the Athy Town Development Plan for provisional funding that may be available.

The purpose of the scheme is to assist the owner/occupier of a protected structure to undertake necessary works to secure the conservation of the structure. The scheme is not intended to assist in carrying out routine maintenance, alterations or improvements and does not apply to works begun before commencement of this scheme.

On receipt of notification of funding being made available, from the Department of Environment, Heritage and Local Government, applications will then be assessed on a priority basis. This grants scheme is administered by Kildare Co. Council on behalf of all relevant authorities in Kildare.

The closing date for receipt of completed application forms is 29th January, 2010.
