To mark the ninetieth anniversary of the end of a the Great War, an evening of song, poetry, prose and film will be held in Athy Heritage Centre on Thursday November 13th at 8 p.m.
The evening includes music that recalls the events of the Great War, poems of the time and diary extracts from the men who fought in the trenches. There will also be a short film on the local connection with the Great War and a brief talk on Athy men who fought in the war.
Admission is free.
