Bank Holiday Weekend

Churchtown and Castlemitchell Community Development Association would like to invite you to celebrate 150 years of education at Churchtown School and 50 years of social involvement with our local Community Hall.
To celebrate these milestones the association will run a number of events over the August Bank Holiday weekend

Saturday 2nd August 2008
from 7.30pm
Official re-opening of Castlemitchell Community Hall;
Ecumenical Prayer Service;
Blessing of the Colours of Churchtown Pipe Band;
Launch of Commemorative Book;
Music/Social/ Light Refreshments;

Sunday 3rd August
@ 2pm
Opening of Churchtown Old School to Public;
Display of Photographs;
Prayers;
Light Refreshments.

@ 7.30pm
Celebration Dance in the Clanard Court Hotel, Dublin Rd., Athy. Music by Bradbury’s , Disco and Late Bar.
Tickets: €50 each

Monday 4th August @ 2pm
Community Field Day in
Castlemitchell GFC.
Full list of events including, Wheel of fortune, Bottle Stall, Shop, Cake Stall, Burger Stall, Underage Gaelic Match, Granny and Grandad sprint, Mother and Father Mile, Fun races for children, Shop, Dart Competition, Pony riding, Egg Toss and many other events.
Special guest appearance and match featuring the Castlemitchell 1983 Junior Championship Winning Team.
