Work is completing on the water reservoir at ardscull. This reservoir will hold a reserve supply for the town so that hopefully episodes like we experienced earlier this year of water shortage should be a thing of the past. The reservoir is being supplied by water brought from Ballymore Eustace which is augmenting the town supply. As work begins on the water abstraction plant at Barrowford, Athy the supply will come from there and will be pumped to other areas of the county but this could be 2010
