The French are Coming!

Eighteen French students will travel to Athy on 25th August next to commence work placements in equine and traditional agriculture. The 3 week placement is being organised by Athy Town Council's Twinning Sub Committee and is being supported by the EU Lifelong Learning Program (EACEA) & MFR Songeons.
Local host families and farms from Athy and environs are now being invited to participate in the program.
Athy has been twinned with Grandvilliers, located north of Paris, since
2004 and
the local committee has an ongoing programme of events and cultural exchanges throughout the year. Currently 3 local students are participating in a sustainable energy 2 week summer university at Pierrefonds, Compiegne in France.
